About the Role:
Beck Construction & Excavation is looking for hardworking, dependable laborers to support our excavation and concrete crews on a variety of commercial, municipal, and roadway projects across Utah.
This is a hands-on position working outdoors alongside operators, foremen, and skilled tradespeople performing excavation, grading, utility, concrete, and general site work. Laborers play a key role in keeping projects moving safely and efficiently by helping with site preparation, material handling, cleanup, traffic control, trench support, and concrete-related tasks.

Based on experience and skillset, there may also be opportunities to grow into more skilled positions over time.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist excavation and concrete crews with daily job site activities.
- Support digging, trenching, grading, utility work, and site preparation.
- Help with concrete prep, cleanup, forming, material movement, and general labor tasks.
- Load, unload, and move tools, materials, and equipment around job sites.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, compactors, pressure washers, and other small equipment.
- Assist with traffic control setup including cones, signs, barricades, and flagging.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform basic equipment and tool inspections before use.
- Follow all company safety procedures and job site expectations.
- Work cooperatively with crews, foremen, and operators to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Represent Beck Construction & Excavation professionally on all job sites.

- Construction, excavation, utility, or concrete experience is helpful but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Certifications:
Candidates either currently holding or willing to obtain:
- OSHA 10 Construction Certification.
- Flagger Certification.
- Trench Safety Certification.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Early mornings, overtime, and weekend work may occasionally be required depending on project schedules.
- Exposure to heavy equipment, dust, noise, mud, and changing site conditions.
- Required PPE includes hard hats, safety vests, gloves, eye protection, and work boots.
