About the Role:
Beck Construction & Excavation is looking for a dependable concrete finisher to join our field crew. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on concrete experience who takes pride in their work and is continuing to build their skills.
While concrete is the primary responsibility, Beck Construction & Excavation is a full excavation and site development company. This is a working crew position, and team members are expected to assist with other field tasks when concrete work is not scheduled.
What You’ll Do:
Beck Construction & Excavation is looking for a dependable concrete finisher to join our field crew. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on concrete experience who takes pride in their work and is continuing to build their skills.
While concrete is the primary responsibility, Beck Construction & Excavation is a full excavation and site development company. This is a working crew position, and team members are expected to assist with other field tasks when concrete work is not scheduled.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with site prep for concrete work, including grading, base prep, and layout support.
- Set and strip concrete forms for sidewalks, curbs, slabs, and other flatwork.
- Place, level, and finish concrete (broom, trowel, and other basic finishes).
- Follow grade stakes and direction to support proper slope and drainage.
- Work alongside the foreman and crew to keep jobs moving efficiently.
- Support general excavation and site work when concrete is not scheduled.
What We’re Looking For:
- Around 2+ years of concrete or construction experience.
- Experience with finishing tools (trowels, floats, edgers, etc.).
- Ability to follow grade and slope direction (not required to run it solo).
- Willing to work as part of a team and jump in where needed.
- Reliable, shows up ready to work, and takes pride in doing things right.
Nice to Have:
- Experience reading grade independently.
- Own finishing tools.
